Here is your last “shot” to use your points to play basketball with a NBA star – and to get a bunch of autographed gear and 2 nights at a JW Marriott! One of the packages previously sold for a very high amount but you have a chance to get this one at a great deal!

Here is yet another example of playing with both Marriott Moments and SPG Moments. Even though the programs are united now, there are still separate pages for the Moments. This means that the lesser-known Marriott Moments can still offer some incredible values for your points!

This is one such auction. The SPG version ended last month at a grand total of 768,000 Marriott points (256,000 Starpoints). Someone really wanted to play a little basketball with Dwyane Wade!

However, on the Marriott Moments side, there were 3 similar auctions (same exact thing) with two ending last week. Each of those went for far less than the SPG version – 190,000 Marriott points (63,333 SPG equivalent) and 220,000 (73,333 SPG equivalent). That means that for the same exact package, someone on the SPG side big a whopping 578,000 Marriott points more than they would have had to if they did it on the Marriott side (sure hope that person isn’t reading this post – better off not knowing about that!).

Now, there is one final package and it ends tomorrow. It is currently at 162,500 Marriott points but I am fairly certain it will go for more than the 220,000 points that one package went for last week (since it is the last one). But, I doubt it will go as high as the SPG version so if this was something you skipped on SPG because of the price, get ready to bid tomorrow!

Here are the details of the package:

  • Intimate basketball skills session with Dwyane Wade for one hour that includes skills and drills, free throw and 3-point contests, and a casual shoot around alongside only twelve total Marriott Rewards and SPG Moments members (September 15, 2018)
  • Photo with Dwyane Wade
  • Two team jerseys autographed by Dwyane Wade on-site
  • Two basketballs to be autographed by Dwyane Wade on-site
  • $300 credit to the Enliven Spa & Salon at the JW Marriott Marquis
  • $150 credit for lunch or dinner at Boulud Sud at the JW Marriott Marquis
  • Two-night stay at the JW Marriott Marquis with King bed and city view (Check-in September 14, 2018 – Check-out September 16, 2018)
  • Experience is for two people
  • In Miami, FL

Auction Details:

  • End Date:  29 Aug 2018 – 03:00 PM EDT

  • Starting Bid: 75,000 Marriott Points

  • Current High Bid: 162,500 Marriott Points

Analysis

This is really quite a package for a NBA fan! Not only do you get to shoot around and get some teaching from Dwyane Wade for an hour, but you will also get some personally autographed gear.

Next, we move into the rest of the package. The two nights at the JW Marriott are a nice touch and come with nice credits – $300 to the spa and salon and a $150 credit for lunch or dinner.

Altogether, this is a nice package that will likely go for quite a bit more than its current 177,000 Starpoints. If you need more Starpoints, you can always transfer Marriott points at 3:1 or move Chase Ultimate Reward points to Marriott and then SPG.
