Huge Value for Southwest Companion Pass Holders!

This is huge news for a couple of big reasons but the biggest one is the existence of the Southwest Companion Pass. Get your Southwest Companion Pass ready and really put it to use when you can take your companion with you for free (except for taxes and fees) on routes that can cost quite a bit for 2 people!

The other good part is Southwest’s frequent sales and the fact that you can make changes and cancellations for free. Finally, the fact that you have two free bags per person is great news as well for vacation-heavy destinations like Hawaii.

Southwest says they will be filing the necessary paperwork with the FAA for ETOPS (Extended Operations – necessary for flights to Hawaii from the mainland) and will be selling tickets in 2018.

They said they will announce at another time what the route details will be and the dates for the services to begin but this is great news now to finally have it confirmed that Southwest will fly to Hawaii!
