How to Save Big Today at Dell with This Triple Stack Savings
What You Need:
- A TopCashBack account (free to register – if you sign-up through my link, I will get $15 back)
- An American Express Membership Rewards card (and the Dell offer that is available in the Amex Offers & Benefits section of your online account)
- If you have the American Express Business Platinum card, you can activate your offer for that card to get $100 statement credit when shopping at Dell to make it even sweeter!
With those things at hand, here are the steps to follow to get some great savings.
Step 1: TopCashBack with 10% Cash Back Offer

Ending today, TopCashBack is offering a 10% cash back offer for shopping at Dell. This is a nice place to start but it is also not the highest ever. Still, with the next step combined, this can be a good time to shop at Dell. The highest ever was 20% cashback and a couple of months ago, there was a 17% cash back offer.
Step 2: Use 15% Code for Select Dell PCs and Dell Accessories
While shopping portals often don’t play nice with coupon codes, they do when the code is advertised right on the shopping portal page! That is the case with this nice code that offers 15% off many Dell computers and accessories.
This is not a 15% discount on everything sold by Dell (because there are many other electronics from other manufacturers sold by Dell as well). This code is SAVE15 and when you click through the above TopCashBack link with that coupon, it will take you right to the page with all the items available for that code.
Step 3: Pay with Your American Express Membership Rewards Card
This is the final step in this equation and one that won’t be for everyone (if you don’t have such a card). Before you pay with this card, make sure you login to your American Express account and go down to the Amex Offers to add this offer to the card you will use.
When you do that and pay, you will get 10% of the purchase price back (up to $1,500). Do pay attention to these restrictions:
- Excludes international contact center, Global events, Dell Financial services, Dell Outlet for Home, Dell Outlet for Work, Dell PartnerDirect, Dell Premier, Dell Premier Connect, Dell Premier Select, and authorized retailers.
Also, while the offer says the shopping must be done at dell.com/amex, there are many data points that a charge by Dell will trigger the offer (you should get an e-mail from American Express after successfully using the offer). It is also a sign that this would work since the offer is good for orders placed by phone.
Summary
Putting it altogether, you can get some significant savings with this deal! Take, for example, a $1,000 laptop. Without taking sales tax into account (since it differs anyway), you would get 15% off the top with the savings code, 10% cash back from TopCashBack, and 10% back to your American Express card for a final, out-of-pocket cost of $680.
If you have the American Express Business Platinum card and you have not yet used the $100 credit, you can get another $100 off that price! That is not that bad of a stack!
Of course, if you don’t have an American Express card that has this offer, your savings will be less (the $1,000 laptop would cost $765) so take a beat to see if it is something you really want now or if you want to wait for another deal down the road.
