Another Amex offer has landed and is great for a couple of reasons. The offer is for $50 back on hotel stays in LA over $250 at applicable LA hotels (and there are quite a few). Check out the details and why this is a good offer.
Get $50 Back On Hotel Stays In Los Angeles Over $250
This is one of the more city-specific offers from Amex but that does not mean it is a bad one! It is still a 20% rebate on hotel purchases and it is not dependent on the length of stay.
Log in to your American Express account and click on any of the cards you have in the account. Scroll down to the Amex Offers and Benefits portion and you should see the offer waiting for you!
Here are the details:
- Must be used between February 15 – April 15, 2015 (that means checking out of the hotel before April 15)
- Only applies at hotels that are listed at the DiscoverLA website
- Does not apply to hotel reservations booked through third-party sites (the DiscoverLA site simply shows eligible hotels – the links take you directly to the hotel’s website)
- Enrollment limited
- Payments made in advance of your stay are not eligible
- More terms below
To maximize it, add the offer to separate cards, simply login to your American Express account and then choose to duplicate the tab (if using Google Chrome) as many times as you have cards. Once they are all open, select a different Amex card in each tab and select to save the offer to the card.
Taking Advantage Of The Offer
One of the best reasons to me for this offer is that it is open for stays that take place during the Los Angeles Marathon (some spots still open – check the website). That marathon takes place March 15, so right in the middle of the offer. One of the host hotels, the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown, is on the list as eligible for this offer. So, you could take advantage of that.
Here is the list of hotels that this offer is eligible for:
- Four Points by Sheraton LAX
- Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles/Hollywood
- Hollywood Hotel-The Hotel Of Hollywood
- Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel
- Hotel Angeleno
- Hotel Normandie LA
- Intercontinental Los Angeles Century City
- L’Ermitage Beverly Hills
- Mondrian
- Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel
- Shore Hotel
- The BLVD Hotel & Spa
- The Garland
- The Line Hotel (booking code LAXX)
- The Standard Downtown LA
- W Los Angeles – Westwood
As you can see, there are several chain hotels on the list and since you will be booking directly with the hotel, they will be eligible for elite credit, promos, and any suite upgrade you may choose to use.
