Yesterday, the new flat rate reward program of Wyndham Rewards went officially live. This is a great new way to take advantage of the high-end Wyndham properties for only 15,000 points per night.

However, along with that flat rate of 15,000 points for a night’s stay, you can also use as little as 3,000 points for a points and cash mixture at many of the hotels. That is a great way to stretch your points out for even more stays.

To celebrate the new program, Wyndham is running a promotion that will give you 3,000 points for your first qualified stay. The best part is that the rate for that single stay can be as low as $25 for the night. With so many Wyndham hotels landing in the low tier area of the program, it is very easy to find a hotel that gets you very near that $25 sweet spot.

To take advantage of this promo, you must register first. You can do that using the link above. The date range for this promo is May 11 – September 7. The qualifying stay must be completed by September 14.

Value Of The Promo

Here is one example of a room that could get you the 3,000 point bonus

This promotion might make it worthwhile to choose one of these cheap hotels just to earn the points. Not only will paying a little more than $25 get you a night at a hotel, it will also give you the points you need for a points and cash mix after you receive the points.

The points and cash combo is a nice option but it certainly will not give you as much value as the free nights would. But, it can still save you anywhere from a few dollars on a night’s stay to $100 for a stay. It all depends on where you want to stay and when.
