There was a time when Delta Skymiles had some really good value. Many would argue that value can still be had but it is nothing like it used to be. So, while getting 2 cents per mile value out of miles may be the norm in other programs, it is not with Delta. So, if you want to book a vacation, check this out!

To get started, here is the information you need to know:

• This offer is valid through August 30, 2019 at 11:59PM EDT
• Your Skymiles are worth double for vacations through this promo (so 2 cents each instead of 1 cent each)

There are some additional terms and details to know:

• Minimum 2-night hotel stay required.
• Offer is redeemable up to 999,999 miles on flight and hotel packages to any Delta Vacations destination.
• Thanks to reddit user u/bloc0102, here are some good-to-know pieces of info:
  • You can book multi-city trips over the phone
  • You don’t have to book a hotel for the entire trip (so you could book a roundtrip for 7 days but only book hotels with this offer for 3 nights)
  • Hotel stay minimums vary based on destination: 2 nights for the continental US, 3 nights for Europe, 4 nights for Asia
  • Hotels do not need to be consecutive or in the same city.

So, this means you can book a 4 night trip from your home city to NYC, for example. If the total cost is $800, you can use 40,000 Delta miles to pay for that trip outright. That beats using miles for the award travel part of it, in many cases!

However, you will want to compare what your trip costs with what it could cost separately as some users found cheaper options separate.
