I wrote a little while ago that Chase had decreased the spending requirement for the Chase Ink Bold and Ink Plus cards (these are the Chase business cards). Chase had dropped the spending requirement from $10,000 in 3 months to get the whole 50,000 points to $5,000 in 3 months to get the whole 50,000 points. Granted, the higher spend requirement did allow you to receive 25,000 after your first purchase with the other 25,000 following after spending $10,000 in 3 months. But, the lower spend is definitely better because 50,000 is worth more than 25,000!
Anyway, the lower spend offer is due to expire at the end of this year, so if you are on the fence about it, I would go ahead and apply! I already had a Chase Ink Bold (the charge card) and applied a couple of weeks ago for the Chase Ink Plus (the credit card). I was expecting to have to walk them through why I wanted the separate cards, but I was approved instantly! I should have the card shortly. So, you can apply for one even if you have the other one. These are great cards as Ultimate Reward points are very flexible and very valuable. Using the points we got from the beginning of the year was how my family and I got to go to Greece and back while only paying taxes (240,000 points, mostly transferred from Ultimate Rewards to United, the rest I already had with United).
So, apply before time runs out! Here are the applications:
Chase Ink Bold – 50,000 Ultimate Reward Points after $5,000 in 3 months – Application Link (I do not receive a commission for this card)
Chase Ink Plus – 50,000 Ultimate Reward Points after $5,000 in 3 months – Application Link (I do not receive a commission for this card)
