The new card from Chase is now available to apply for online – the Chase Freedom Unlimited! This is a great new card that has great promise as an everyday card for the Ultimate Rewards collectors.
Chase Freedom Unlimited Available Online
It is here! It has been available over the phone and in the branches but now Chase has rolled out the Chase Freedom Unlimited online so you can apply for it.
This card does not replace the regular Chase Freedom card but rather is another card in the Freedom family. Here is what it offers:
- $150 bonus after spending $500 in 3 months (or 15,000 Ultimate Reward points if you have a Chase Ink Plus/Bold or Sapphire Preferred)
- 1.5% back (or 1.5 UR points) on all spending
- 0% interest for the first 15 months
- No annual fee
- Application Link (not an affiliate link, if you would like to support the blog instead, you can apply using the links on the Credit Cards tab)
This is a great card to use for your everyday spending at places that do not fill category bonuses in your other cards. Being able to earn 1.5 UR points on everything is fantastic!
Converting – Yes or No?
Now, you can convert a card like a current Freedom or Sapphire Preferred to the new Chase Freedom Unlimited. That could be a smart option if you are unable to get any more Chase cards right now because of the 5/24 rule.
But, if you are able to get more Chase cards, you may not want to convert right now. That is because this card has the same language that all other Chase cards have – that you cannot get the bonus if you are a current cardholder of the Freedom Unlimited. So, you may want to apply for it outright.
I will be converting one of my Chase Freedom cards to this card and it will certainly have use for my everyday spending!
Summary
This is a great new card from Chase and I am excited that it is finally here and available online! It has a decent bonus for a no-fee card but the everyday earning potential is even more exciting!
