Two years ago today, I started Running with Miles. I started it to try to put down on paper (or in cyberspace) some travel tips to help runners. Surveys suggest that the average amount spent by runners annually for race travel is $3,000! That is a pretty high figure! I have been blessed to run marathons all over the US and in several countries and I probably have not spent that amount with all of those races combined! I have been able to do that (mostly) because of miles and points. So, I wanted to take some of what I have learned to help other runners Run more races in more places for less!
I have been very fortunate to see the daily readership of the blog go up quite a bit since joining BoardingArea. It is very humbling to find people checking in on a regular basis to see what is appearing on the blog. This makes me want to put out more posts with better content all the time. It has also been great to receive so many different forms of feedback as well! Trust me, it has been helpful! In the coming week, I will start to give some clues about some of the great things to look forward to in 2014 here at Running with Miles – much of it because of your suggestions!
Happy Birthday Running for Miles! 🙂
