A 25% Transfer Bonus From Many Partners When Transferred To Etihad

Etihad
Written by Charlie

Etihad Airways has a lot of options for booking award travel and this 25% transfer bonus from their partners (like Citi and SPG) can help you get the miles you need for that award.

Etihad has a frequent flyer program that may work for certain types of trips and they are a transfer partner of Citi’s Thank You program at a rate of 1:1. Now, you can get a 25% transfer bonus on those points and many more when transferred to Etihad’s Guest Miles program.

Transfer Promo Details

From now through December 31, you can get a 25% transfer bonus on your Etihad miles when you transfer your points from the following kinds of programs:

While most of the programs are not going to be a good deal at all (like transferring 2.5 Hyatt points to 1 Etihad mile before the 25% bonus), there are some options that may make this a reasonable deal for you. Two of those are Citi’s Thank You program and SPG’s Starpoints. If you were to transfer 10,000 Citi points, you will end up with 12,500 Etihad miles (as an example – scale it up to what you need).

For SPG’s Starpoints, you already earn a 5,000 mile bonus when you transfer 20,000 points. With this bonus promo, you will earn an additional 5,000 miles. So, transferring 20,000 points will earn you 30,000 Etihad milesAccording to Sean below, this promo does not include SPG. Sorry for any confusion.

Using Etihad Miles

One award that is unattainable otherwise is to redeem for Etihad’s Residence cabin on their A380. That is completely not worth it (2 million miles) but that is one thing you can do with these miles.

Other than that, Etihad has a lot of airline partners that you can book with. Check each page for the award chart for each partner but there are a lot of options available for you!

If you look at that list, you will see airlines from oneworld, Skyteam, and Star alliances. So, these Etihad miles could come in handy depending on your booking needs.
