Now, it is possible to begin transfers of miles between Virgin America and Alaska MileagePlan. With a transfer ration of 1:1.3 for Virgin to Alaska, this is a great way to build up your Alaska account to book some of the great awards available.
10,000 Bonus Alaska Miles Appearing In Many Accounts!
However, some people have received a little bonus ahead of these transfers! I am certainly not sure what the criteria is, but many people (my father included) have received 10,000 bonus miles in their Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account! This is a nice beginning to the transfer window but it is strange as to why there is not mention of anything via e-mail or by what criteria this bonus has been issued.
Still, take 30 seconds and check your Alaska account – you could find a nice 10,000 mile bonus there to start out your week!
I do want to say this – do not be calling and complaining if you did not get them! While it should be ok to simply ask if there is some way these miles could be issued to you as well, things like this happen sometimes and people getting mad that they were not targeted can ruin it for everyone else. And I am saying this as one who was not targeted! 🙂
I did not get the bonus
Check all the household account I have with Alaska Air, did not receive any mileage credit
Nothing for me yet..
I just checked my AS account and yes I did receive this credit. I am an AS 75kMVP and I signed up for Elevate on a status match last year however did not travel a single mile on VX.
