The Delta first class companion certificate is a bonus exclusively for those who hold the Delta Reserve card. The companion certificate is offered to Delta Platinum cardholders too, but it is only for economy. This certificate is good for economy or first class.

How it works

Here are a couple of points quickly so you know how this certificate works. You are able to purchase a ticket in either economy or first class anywhere in the 48 United States and your companion will fly the same route with you and only need to pay the taxes (up to $66 for the ticket). Only the primary traveler will receive award miles and elite miles from the ticket – the companion does not.

Now, since these are tied to individual accounts, this is how the giveaway will work. Whomever wins will need to pick their flights and then send them to me so that I can ticket it. I will pay the primary ticket and the taxes for the second ticket on my card and the winner will PayPal me the reimbursement for it. I am not charging anything for this ticket but will just need to be reimbursed for the amount I put out for the tickets. To make it easier, we can handle this over the phone as well. When you are searching for flights, just know that fare classes A,I,L,U,T,X, and V are the only ones that will work with this. This certificate must be used for travel beginning and ending before September 30, 2014. Sorry, I know those are a few hoops but I just want to give you all of the information up front before you enter. Remember, it costs you nothing to enter but I just do not want anyone to be disappointed afterwards with the booking process. 🙂 There is some tremendous value here! If you purchase an eligible first class ticket, this certificate could save you hundreds, even over a thousand dollars on the second ticket! If you use it for economy, you will still be saving a significant amount of money.
