The last time Southwest extended their schedule, they just missed the most popular running event in Florida – the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. But, they have extended the schedule today and that weekend easily makes it into the new booking calendar.

The schedule window is now open through March 8, 2016. That gives a great window for vacations to warmer climates in the peak of winter as well. Make sure you check out the new schedule and see what looks appealing to you.

Southwest

As happens most weeks, there is a sale going on right now at Southwest as well (though I do not know if you can keep calling it a sale when they run it every week!). While this sale does not take into account the new extended schedule (it only goes through December 16), it makes for yet another reason to check your upcoming Southwest travel to see if your booked flights have come down in price or points (you can cancel and rebook for free – revenue bookings will go back as a credit to your Southwest account and points will go back into the account).

Where do you plan on going with Southwest this winter?
