The first 500 slots went for $50, the next 500 slots went for $55, and we are now within the final 500 slots of the registration blitz. I have run in St. Louis several times and it is a beautiful city for a race. There is a lot of history there and it is sure to be a great time. My respect for the race and its organizers went up after hearing out they handled rewarding the real female winner of this year’s marathon. With the prices of entry for marathons going up, it is always nice to see a good deal on one and this gives you that.

For getting to St. Louis, there are several options. The St. Louis airport has historical significance for a couple of reasons: its connection with Charles Lindbergh as well as being the first airport with an air traffic control system, so it should be an interesting airport for any AVGeek! As for getting there, both Southwest and American provide several solid options. Delta and United service the airport as well. With American’s prominence there, using British Airways Avios from Chicago, Dallas, or Charlotte will only require 4,500 Avios one way. That is a great deal!
Having spent several nights there, my favorite hotels in the area have been the Drury Inns. There food is really decent and their customer service is fantastic. The rates are definitely on the reasonable side as well, so give them some consideration!
Charles, today WSJ (A5) has a photo of yesterday Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. The event marks the 20th anniversity of the truck bombing.
Thanks, Kevin! I had not seen that so I will check it out.
