The 2016 Boston Marathon Registration Opens To All Qualifiers Today!

The 2016 Boston Marathon is now open for registrations from all qualifiers! Find out what you need to know and where to go from here.

Last week, the 2016 Boston Marathon registration process opened, but only on a rolling registration for the fastest runners in each qualifying bracket. This week, as has been the tradition over the last few years, that rolling registration process continues and opens to anyone who has qualified for the Boston Marathon. That’s right, as expected, space still remains so time to get in if last week was not open for you!

The 2016 Boston Marathon Registration Opens To All Qualifiers Today!

Now, just because you qualified for the 2016 Boston Marathon does not mean your registration will be accepted. Last year, the eventual cutoff time was a little over a minute faster than the qualifying time for entrants. That means, if it is like last year, if you ran 30 seconds faster than your required qualifying time for the Boston Marathon, you still may not get in!

Even though registration reopens today for all qualifying runners, registering as soon as the online gates open does not guarantee you a spot. It is still going to go by qualifying time, not your registration time. But, certainly go ahead and get your registration in so you do not forget!

So, today registration reopens and is scheduled to close on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:00PM. If space still exists after that, it will reopen again next Monday, September 28.
