In less than two weeks, the New England Patriots will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Minneapolis for the Super Bowl. As normally happens, hotel rooms are getting scarce – fast! The ones that are still available are available at rack rates that do not even seem legitimate! 🙂

Yet, this is where hotel points take on an incredible value. If your team is going to Minneapolis and you want to be there, at least you will not have to spend over $1,000 for a single night at a hotel that would normally cost like 10% of that cost!

The hotel I have found is the Days Inn St. Paul-Minneapolis-Midway. Thanks to the fact that this hotel is within the Wyndham Rewards program, you can redeem 15,000 points (the same amount for any Wyndham hotel for a free night) to save over $1,000!
You may never want to tell your friends you used 15,000 Wyndham points for a Days Inn but you can tell them that you got almost 7 cents per point in value for your stay! 🙂
Wyndham Points Have Huge Value For Events Like This!
This is why I advocate getting Wyndham points which can normally be bought each year with the Getaway deals for about $150 (for 15,000) or with the Wyndham credit cards. I actually never really stay in Wyndham properties but it is nice to have points that can be used at thousands of hotels around the world – especially when they are at crazy prices like this!
