States have been using their own funds to send out stimulus checks and rebate checks to millions of people. There are billions of dollars heading out to people with some already having gone out. Here is a list of those states and the details as to who will be getting them. Check it to see if you qualify and can expect to receive some of this money.

Stimulus Checks and Rebates Heading to Millions

These states have decided to send out payments or refunds on surpluses that the states have or through federal monies that the states get. If you are in any of these states, you may get such a stimulus payment this month.

New York State had sent out their own version of this back in June as they sent up to $1,050 to homeowners at the time. Other states have done various versions of it as well, some with money received from the federal government and some out of the surpluses that they have.

These stimulus payments are more targeted than the federal payments had been, mostly targeting lower income households. Here is the list of the states and the categories of people that these payments will be sent to. For some states, this month is part of a multi-month program so if you have not received previous months and you qualify, you may want to reach out to your state lawmakers.

Summary

Various states have seen some of their residents hurting through the many issues facing people at this time. They are taking from the surplus, in some situations, to give that money back to many of the residents. It would appear that no more money is coming from the federal level, given the return to the workplace following Covid as well as the inflation amounts. But, if you live in any of the above states, at least you know if you will be able to look for something coming.
