It’s Tuesday so that means a Southwest sale – except this one is a bit of a twist from the normal sales. Today, it is about a straight discount on the airfare instead of a varied discount according to route.

This deal technically does not work on existing tickets since you cannot add the promo code to your reservation when trying to “change” the reservation. So, instead, book a new reservation that matches your current one and then cancel the old one (if you have the points to do that). It is possible to save some points. On a previous reservation I booked during a sale, I was able to save another 2,500 points if I did it this way.
But, you can also just book outright new reservations with this code and you could save some points from yesterday’s prices.
I tried using the code and, for my selected flight, it said for points only.
