The first serious smartwatch (arguably) to hit the public scene was the Kickstarter darling, the Pebble Smartwatch. It was a major hit coming out with a more dressy Pebble Steel edition before just recently releasing the new Pebble Time color smartwatch.

I have a Pebble and it has been a fantastic little watch. I now wear my Garmin Fenix 3 everyday, but for those interested in a smartwatch that does notifications quite well and has a great battery, you can’t go wrong with the Pebble Smartwatch.
