Believe it or not, there are quite a few readers that use Aegean as their primary airline or enjoy flying them while in Europe. For that reason, I like to post things about Aegean when they are pertinent to those readers – like their fare sales that have 40% off!

Aegean Airlines is an excellent airline with a great staff, nice planes (which are about to get even newer with the latest large order Aegean placed) and food service that puts US airlines to shame (but, seriously, what airlines don’t put US airlines to shame!).
If you find yourself in Greece or in any of the international destinations serviced by Aegean for the months of this sale, definitely give it a look! You could save quite a bit of money! Some of the destinations I had been eyeing have dropped a fair amount with this sale so you could save some real money!
Here are the details of this sale (do take note that the dates are in the European format – date first, month, and then year):
- Offer is valid for direct flights to/from Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, Corfu and Kalamata to all international destinations
- Valid for one way and return flights
- Book by 09.05.2018 (May 9, 2018)
- Travel from 10.09.2018 until 30.03.2019 (September 10 – March 30, 2019)
- Blackout dates: 20.12.2018– 07.01.2019
- The discount is tiered based on dates of travel:
- 10% discount is applied on all direct flights during the period of 10.09.2018– 11.11.2018
- 30% discount is applied on all direct flights during the period of 12.11.2018– 19.12.2018
- 40% discount is applied on all direct flights during the period of 08.01.2019– 30.03.2019
- The 10%, 30% & 40% discounts are applied on all direct fares and fuel surcharges. Fares and fuel surcharges shown on the reservation system are already reduced by 10%, 30% & 40%.
- Discount does not apply on all taxes
Good Way to Get TO or FROM Greece on the Cheap With a Great Airline
So, basically, if you are in Europe (or even places like Israel, Egypt or other Middle Eastern countries), you could fly to Greece (via direct flights) for up to 40% off! I can tell you that Greece is still lovely in the colder months so definitely worth checking out! Not only that, but everything is cheaper in the colder months as well. 🙂
If you are already going to be in Greece, these prices will give carriers like Ryanair a run for their money and do it with some nice services. If you have Star Alliance Gold status, you will get priority boarding, a free checked bag, and lounge access with Aegean.
I like that they include the fuel surcharges for their discounts! Definitely something nice! Just be careful since airport taxes in Athens can be high (and those are not discounted).
