I know – if you look at other blogs (and you should!) you have likely seen a title like this enough! But, today is the last chance for this offer and if you have been holding out wondering if it is for you, here are some reasons you may want to pull the trigger today!

Hotel Use
The SPG Starpoints are great for staying at their own properties in a variety of redemption methods. You can use the points for a straight out free night (from 2,000 points for a night up to 30,000 points per night at regular top tier properties). That means the 35,000 points from this bonus can get you enough points for 17 weekend nights at a Category 1 or a single free night at a Category 7.
They can also be used with a cash and points mixture that will let you stretch these valuable points out even more with cash copays. This is a great way to still get a reasonable cash price at a hotel that may be charging way more for that night!
Both uses of points will let you get elite nights with each stay as well, which lets you achieve SPG elite status for less than paid nights!
Transfer to Marriott
If you want to take advantage of Marriott’s flights and hotels packages, you can transfer SPG points to Marriott at a rate of 1:3. See this post for all the details on that. You could also transfer points to use to book Marriott properties. This 35,000 point bonus is good for 105,000 Marriott points should you transfer them over to Marriott.
SPG Moments
SPG Moment Auctions present some incredible experiences that many people would really like. If you like sports, music, cooking, and/or art, there are a lot of auctions you should be interested in! Not only are they some things that you could get using points and save money on, but there are some things that you wouldn’t even be able to spend money on!
Basketball with a Star!
Consider the SPG auction that ended last year – gaining some skills in an intimate setting with NBA star Dwyane Wade. This is something that I got some questions about from some very interested NBA fans – how could they get this? The answer, unfortunately for them, is they can only get it with SPG points. I say “unfortunately” because they didn’t even have a single SPG point.
Huge MLB Fan Experiences!
Or, how about throwing out a first pitch at Game 7 of the World Series in 2016? Yes, Dan from Dan’s Deals cashed in 1 million Starpoints for that special privilege. You couldn’t buy that opportunity with money or fame (well, for the most part on the fame!). You could also use points to get great tour packages, music packages, cooking packages, access to some famous people and much more!
Airline Flexibility
You can also use SPG Starpoints to transfer to airlines at a great rate of 1:1 (most of them) with a bonus of 5,000 miles for every 20,000 points transferred. This is a great way to accumulate miles in a program that it may not be that easy to otherwise – like Aegean miles that can work great for premium Star Alliance awards.
Also, you could take advantage of SPG’s Nights and Flights packages that let you book either a Category 3 or 4 hotel and get 50,000 airline miles. This is a great way to get a ready-to-book vacation package – all starting at 60,000 Starpoints.
Bonus Reason 🙂
Yes, if you do apply using the link above, I will earn 7,500 SPG points myself! So, yes, of course it can help me but I believe this offer can be helpful to you as well to accrue some of the most valuable and hard-to-earn points in the game – SPG Starpoints. If you do apply for this card through my link, thank you for helping me build my SPG account back up as well!
Either way, you only have a few hours left for this offer before it leaves – it may be back in the summer again (like most years) but nothing sure as the SPG and Marriott merger continues integrating various aspects of the programs.
