This promo is good for select flights on all routes that Southwest has. This sale actually runs deep into the year, which is great for all kinds of travel right now.

While this sale is not good on some of the routes that would normally get prices like $39 with the WOW sale, it has proved to be excellent on many other routes that normally price quite a bit higher.
With normal sales, you can simply change your current reservation and get the savings back. But, with this sale, since it requires the 40OFF code, you need to cancel your current reservation and then book it as a new reservation using the code. But, just make sure the price is indeed lower with this sale before doing it! 🙂
With a sale like this and some of the prices I am seeing, I am planning on booking some speculative travel since I can just cancel the award flights for free. How about you?
