Not only should it get the next round of updates but it is the only late-model Garmin watch with LTE support so you can leave your phone at home. But, don’t get that unless you want LTE because the new Garmin Forerunner 955 only costs $50 more and has all the new features right now, including multi-band GPS which is something the 945 won’t get.
