Here are the deals going on right now for Garmin Forerunner GPS watches.

Which Garmin Forerunner GPS Watch to Choose?

I owned the Garmin Forerunner 945 for quite a while and it was the one that made me get rid of the Apple Watch and slide back to Garmin. I have also used the Garmin Forerunner 745 for a while. The biggest differences between these two is that the 945 has onboard music storage and built-in maps. If you use your phone for music and don’t care about the maps, the smaller size of the 745 can be really appealing. It has the same exact screen size as the 945 as well, just smaller bezels.

But, the difference in price is just $50 so if you think you may want something like the maps, go for the 945. These are the best prices on both these watches since they came out.

The new watches we are waiting on are the Garmin Forerunner 955 models (which will have a solar model) and the Garmin Forerunner 255.

If you want something that does a good job without some of the bells and whistles and you want it cheap, the Garmin Forerunner 55 is a good choice. It is not a huge price drop but the first one since it came out last year. But, if you are not in the Garmin camp yet, I would recommend going for the Coros Pace 2 instead. It is $199 and has many more built-in features than the Garmin watch.

Overall, both the Garmin Forerunner 945 and the 745 are great choices. Again, if you aren’t sure, you can always buy now and you have 30 days to return it to Amazon. The new watches will be out by then so then you can decide if the higher prices justify whatever new features are onboard. Remember, while they may not be that much more in terms of retail pricing, these sale prices are huge discounts so you will pay quite a bit more for the new versions.
