This is the best public offer ever on the Amex Platinum card – a 100K point offer! Certainly worth getting, especially with all the other benefits.

Edit: As of 10:42, this offer appears to have expired. So sorry for any who miss it.

Yes, this one was plastered all over the blogs yesterday so I apologize in advance if you have already seen it! There are many that read here that do not visit BoardingArea direct so I did want to make sure I got this one out there!

It looks like it continues to be a year of best offers on some cards from Chase and Amex – good for those that are able to get them!

100K Point Offer on the Amex Platinum

Amex Platinum 100K Point Offer Link

100K point offerOn the heels of the Amex Mercedes Benz Platinum card going up to 75,000 Membership Reward points, we have the regular Amex Platinum card hitting the 100k point offer level! This is an amazing deal that you should definitely consider.

Remember, if you have ever had this card before, you are not eligible for the bonus this time. However, this card is a different product from the Ameriprise Amex Platinum card (no annual fee the first year, no point bonus), Amex Platinum Mercedes Benz ($475 annual fee with 75,000 point offer), and the Amex Platinum Business card. So, if you have/had these cards and never had the Platinum personal card, you can get it now!

Details:

  • Earn 100,000 Membership Reward points after spending $3,000 in 90 days
  • Annual fee: $450
  • $200 airline credit each year
  • $100 Global Entry reimbursement

The Amex Platinum card has a ton of benefits.  These include such things as elite status in various programs (Hilton, SPG, National, Avis, Hertz) as well as the fantastic $200 airline credit each year and the $100 Global Entry credit. It also includes the Delta Skyclub lounge access when flying Delta and access to the wonderful Amex Centurion lounges. See this page for a rundown on the various benefits on the amex platinum card.

This is a great card that I have had a couple of times before. This bonus is the best offer that the personal card has ever had for a public offer. Definitely worth the annual fee of $450, especially since you get $200 on airline incidentals per year.

If you would like the American Express Platinum card for the benefits and perks but do not want to pay the annual fee, you can always apply for the american express platinum ameriprise card. This card has no annual fee the first year and comes with the full strength of the Amex Platinum card. You can find that card here.
