Brands like Puma, Mizuno, New Balance, Reebok, and Adidas all are represented in this deal of the day from Amazon. Noticeably absent are some of the biggest brands in running – ASICS, Nike, Saucony and Brooks as well as recent movers like Under Armour or other brands with devoted followers like Hoka One.

So, if you are a devoted wearer of one of the brands not listed in this sale, you may want to skip it. However, sales like this are also a good time to be able to try out a different kind of shoe without having to put out the money that the shoes would normally require.

I have tried this in the past with shoes from Brooks and it was nice to have a pair like that to throw in my trunk when I was out or to leave at a place I frequently would visit so I always have a pair of running shoes on hand.

Take a look at the deal page above from Amazon to see if any of the shoes on sale are ones you wear or ones you want to give a shot for a try at running! Just remember this before you shop for running shoes for the first time – not all shoes are created equal.

If your foot falls inward when landing, that is called pronating and you will want to find a shoe that has some stability to help correct for that overpronation (a little pronation is not a big deal). If you land more flat on your feet without turning in, you will want a shoe that provides cushioning for your foot so that would be a neutral shoe. To find the best fit, you want to go to a running shop and have them check you out. But, if you do that, be a sport and buy the shoes from them since they offer this for free (you can always buy future shoes of that model online if the shop is costing much more).
