If you want to buy Air Canada miles for travel on airlines like Lufthansa, Turkish, Etihad, and more, here is a deal with up to a 100% bonus on those miles purchased.

If you are in the market to book an award flight with Aeroplan soon, here is a good deal for you on miles.

Buy Air Canada Miles with Up to 100% Bonus

Link: Buy Aeroplan Miles

Note: I usually recommend to only buy miles if you have some immediate use for them and that goes even more so during this period of travel in the world. These can only get you better value if use them so if you are booking travel soon, this can be of great value.

Before a couple of years ago, Aeroplan didn’t have sales on their miles (that I can remember). That meant that the regular price you would pay would be 4 cents per mile (CAD). That was not a good deal! Aeroplan now has new award rates that have gone up but fuel surcharges have gone away. That means that a sale like this could make it a good deal if you want to redeem for premium cabin travel.

Remember that you can now book on Air Serbia (they have one flight between JFK and Belgrade that has business class on it) and Etihad as well as with other Star Alliance carriers. It is finally worth booking Lufthansa and Austrian business class awards since you do not have to pay for the surcharges.

This is a tiered mileage sale – here is how it works:

  • Buy 3,000 – 19,000 points, get a 60% bonus
  • Buy 20,000 – 55,000 points, get a 75% bonus
  • Buy 60,000 – 95,000 points, get a 95% bonus
  • Buy 100,000+ points, get a 100% bonus

If you buy up to 19,000 points, you will be paying 1.6 cents per mile (USD as of today). If you buy between 20,000 – 55,000 miles, you will be paying 1.56 cents per mile (USD as of today). Lastly, if you buy over 100,000 miles, you will be paying 1.37 cents per point (USD as of today).

For a business class ticket from the US to Europe, you could buy all 70,000 miles you need and if you did it at the 100% bonus, you would be paying $959 for that award ticket. That is not a terrible price if you know how to use it for the most value! Plus, you are not paying any fuel surcharges at all, which is better than using miles with Aegean or Lufthansa.

But, do not feel like you have to buy the miles now if you aren’t booking soon – there is a way you can get a good deal when you are booking your flight, if you have miles already in your account. Read this post.

This deal ends at 11:59PM ET on February 2, 2022.
