This watch came out over 2 years ago and I had it almost right away and used it for a while (see how it compares to the Apple Watch Series 4, a contemporary to it). It is lightweight, packed with tech, good battery life, and is one of the more slim yet stylish Garmin running watches.

The most notable things you won’t be getting with this over the more mid-tier Garmin 245 is the built-in Pulse-Ox and Body Battery. Still, if you like all the running dynamics, the altimeter, and more, the 645 is for you!
There should be an upgrade to the Garmin 645 coming soon as it currently sits as the top “running” watch from Garmin (the 945 is the top triathlete watch, the 245 is a mid-tier running watch, and the Fenix watches are multi-sport – they are all great for running, though). The 655 should have all the tech from the 945 plus a couple of other things like cellular.
But, it won’t have a launch price of $229! This is a great deal so if you are looking for a new running watch, grab it now! I personally really liked the slate version and that is the one I had. I am currently using a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire as my daily watch but this price is so good, I did take a quick look to see what I could sell my Fenix 6 for on eBay. 🙂
