Amtrak is running a fare sale through Thursday, March 20. I have to be honest – the last time I used Amtrak was about 29 years ago (in other words, I don’t remember it), but I wouldn’t mind using it again.
This sale is for the following city pairs for these prices (travel is from or to these city pairs):
- Boston, MA and New York, NY – $37
- Baltimore, MD and New York, NY – $38
- Washington, DC and New York, NY – $42
The dates that are valid for this sale are April 22 – May 15, 2014. You can access the sale page here. The part that makes this of interest to me is the fact that April 22 is the day after the Boston Marathon and those of you who are traveling from Boston back to NYC after the race now have a fairly inexpensive way to do it!
