American Airlines Reduced Mileage Awards

One of the great things about frequent flyer programs is the reduced mileage awards that they offer from time to time. American Airlines has great reduced mileage awards that they offer from the US to Europe from October – May that many people take advantage of. In addition to those awards, they also offer reduced mileage awards within the US on occasion. They sent out an e-mail today with the details of the current cities for which the lower mileage awards are applicable.

For American Airlines credit card holders – Citi Executive /AAdvantage World Elite Mastercard, Citi Platinum Select / AAdvantage Cards,Citi Select AAdvantage American Express and Citi Platinum Select / AAdvantage American Express, Citi Business / AAdvantage Cards – you will receive 7,500 mile discounts on awards from select cities that can be found below. For holders of other AA cards – Citi / AAdvantage American Express Card and Citi Gold / AAdvantage Card – the discount amount is 5,000 miles.

These discounts can be used on premium cabin awards (42,500 miles) or economy cabin awards (17,500 miles). To redeem these awards, you need to call American Airlines AAdvantage – 800-882-8880. There are many cities currently covered this quarter and great deals can be found! Check to see if any of them are applicable for your upcoming trips or races!
