This is a “coast-to-coast” challenge so Alaska is trying for Alaska members that live in the following states:

  • New York
  • California
  • New Jersey
  • Connecticut
  • Massachusetts
  • Pennsylvania
  • Maryland
  • Virginia
  • District of Columbia
  • North Carolina
  • Florida

They determine this as indicated by the address attached to your Mileage Plan account. To earn MVP status (the lowest elite status), you will need to 4 qualifying flights between March 6 and May 31, 2019 (two round trips).

If you want to go for the mid-tier status, MVP Gold, you need to fly 8 qualifying flights between March 6 and May 31 (four round trips).

Status earned with this elite status challenge will be good through December 31, 2019. One of the great things about MVP Gold is that you will earn 100% bonus miles on flights flown.
