If you want to bulk up your United mileage account for your next trip while buying luggage for that trip, the eBags shopping portal bonus is the best way to do that! There is just something fun about buying luggage or travel gear and knowing that you are earning a boatload of miles per dollar to help for that trip you will use the luggage on!
Earn 20 United Miles Per Dollar with eBags
Link: 20 United Miles Per Dollar
This promo started yesterday and I am not sure how long it will go for. Unfortunately, the last eBags Amex Offer ended last week so you will not be able to stack it this time. But, with 20 miles per dollar (and electronics not excluded), there are certainly some nice deals to be had!
Exclusions
Before we get too far, make sure you check this list to see what you will not earn the miles for (yes, unfortunately, Briggs&Riley luggage is excluded from earning miles):
- Orders deemed by eBags.com to be used for reselling purposes are not eligible.
- Not eligible on the following brands: Fujifilm, Samsung, Briggs & Riley.
- Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates, luggage locator services, or monogramming.
- Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this site.
- Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents.
Last year, portals started restricting bonuses for electronics sold by eBags but it seems that this is not the case with the United portal, at least according to their terms! This means that things like the Bose noise-cancelling headphones should earn you a bunch of miles – if that is something you are in the market for. For example, a $300 pair of headphones will net you 6,000 United miles – getting closer to a free one way, short haul flight.
While the list of excluded brands is long, make sure you click to go to eBags through the 25% coupon link. This is an approved discount from eBags and the United portal so you will get the miles and get a discount on some gear.
There are some nice luggage deals going on right now so check out eBags and get shopping – but remember to comparison shop with Amazon! It would be a shame for you to overpay on something from eBags to get the miles when you could get it much cheaper on Amazon (for example, it would not be a great deal to be paying 2.5 cents per mile by overpaying!).
I”ll wait for the AMEX offer; it will come back. But 20 miles/dollar ain’t shabby!
It will definitely be back! One of the mainstays of the Amex Offer family for sure!
FWIW I bought bose headphones a week ago through the United/Ebags portal (at 14 pts/$) and the points posted yesterday (the day they arrived).
I debated reordering and returning the other headphones but it didnt seem worth the hassle since giving back the Amex discount would eat away most of the value from the extra ~1,800 points.
That’s great! I do love how fast United posts their miles from portal purchases.
