Not too long ago, I wrote about how there is a new fitness device coming from the maker of the Pebble smartwatch – the Pebble Core. It has some great promise by all of its features and it comes in at a pretty reasonable price. Now, Pebble has added another new feature that is sure to make this device a winner!
Pebble Core Gets Alexa
If you are familiar with Amazon’s Echo device, you know about Alexa. Alexa is Amazon’s do-it-all tech tool – getting sports scores, changing music, getting news, and a whole bunch of other things that seem to grow all the time. It is really a smart, cloud-based feature from Amazon that let’s you go hands-free with a lot of things and questions (check this Amazon page for information about Alexa).
Now, Pebble has announced that they are bringing Amazon Alexa to their new Pebble Core device! This means that whenever you are wearing your Core device (it does not have to just be during workouts), you can use Alexa to give you a lot of information in your ear. This can be tremendously useful while you are on the go, especially since you don’t even need to have your phone on you to do it (Pebble Core comes with its own 3G radio so it is data-independent).
This is still in the Kickstarter stage so head over there to get it. This is not like some Kickstarter stuff that never hits the market, Pebble is a proven performer and we will certainly see this. So, this means you get to get in early and save some money. Estimated ship time is January 2017.
The cheapest reward currently available for the Pebble Core is $79 – it will retail for $99 so you can save a bit of money. But, you will also pay $10 shipping so you are essentially only saving $10 by doing it now, but doing it now will make sure you get it before it hits the retail channels.
I am really looking forward to January 2017 now!
You actually make itt seem so easy with your presentation but I
find this matter to be realoy something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to
gett the hang of it!
