During my internet perusals in searching for deals and travel finds, I came across someone who spoke of recently having received an offer from American Express for 150,000 Membership Reward points on the American Express Platinum Business card. To my knowledge, that would make it the highest offer presented for this card and is certainly a huge bonus!
150,000 Membership Reward Offer
This person uploaded a photo of their received offer (it is genuine!) and the offer states that to receive the 150,000 points, you must – 1) spend $10,000 in the first 3 months to receive 100,000 points and 1) spend another $10,000 in the same timeframe to receive the extra 50,000 points. So, that is $20,000 worth of spending in 3 months – but it is to receive 150,000 Membership Reward points! Counting the minimum spend, if you should receive and apply for this offer, you would end with a total of 170,000 Membership Reward points in just 3 months. That is enough for three one-ways in my favorite cabin – Sinagpore Airlines Suites Class – from JFK-Frankfurt (or vice versa). That is really awesome!
Finding Out If You Are Targeted
This offer came through the mail, but you may find that you have been targeted for this offer by going to the American Express website (some people are having problem with this – right-click the link and select to open in a private browser/incognito to see it. I just went through the process again and it works fine for me – but no 150K offer!) and checking for “Respond To Your Mail Offer”. Select “No, Use My Name and Address” and enter your information for your account. You can do this for both personal and business cards.
This offer must be highly targeted and it is for the business version. Let me know if you get this!
Nice offer, I guess, but that is one hell of a lot of spend in three months, even for jet jocks.
It certainly is high! I had thought the previous requirements of 10K in 3 months were high – or the Chase British Airways 100K of $20K in a year for the full amount. This is definitely a business offer!
Your link is not working
No offense, but did you even try your tip before posting?
1) Getting the correct page is cumbersome, I had to use incognito mode to get the respond to mail offer page to come up (direct link https://www304.americanexpress.com/secure/my-special-offers)
2) For personal, if you’re already an AMEX card holder, it’ll ask you to login to compare cares, but shows nothing about sign-up bonuses
3) For business, it takes you to an AMEX OPEN site that is not currently working
No offense taken! Of course I tried it. Yes, I also had to do the incognito page to open it properly (a problem with American Express and their cookies for current customers – many have the problem, some don’t). The business part certainly did work for me. If you click on the part I highlighted (and not the other mention of the business offers), it should take you right to a place to enter your business name and address. I tried my different business names but only received the standard offer. Sorry you did not get one of those!
Thanks, tried again after clearing cookies (not sure why this had an affect in incognito mode) and the business page finally came up.
No 150K offers for Dovertime! This is probably a good thing as I’m up to my eyes in minimum spending requirements currently!
I hear you! Waiting on my AA 100K card to come and then I have some other thresholds I need to hit.
