The IHG card has famously been at 80,000 points from time to time (and often via targeted offers). But, this is the first time the public offer has gone up from 60,000 points in a while. Now, it is at a new offer of 70,000 points plus the typical Chase 5,000 points for additional user for a grand total of 75,000 IHG points!
Get 75,000 IHG Points With This New Great Offer!
The IHG card is definitely one of the best hotel cards around. Not only does it carry a pretty nice sign-up bonus but it has the lowest of annual fees for hotel cards ($49) and comes with an anniversary night good for any IHG!
With the IHG Pointbreak hotels (a variety of hotels that are listed every two months at only 5,000 points per night), you could have 15 nights for free with these 75,000 IHG points! That is a great deal and the Pointbreak hotels can often be some great properties (or at least interesting/convenient properties).

The IHG card has a lot to offer and there are even some things that sometimes get overlooked – like the automatic 10% rebate. That means that you will earn another 7,500 points when you spend the 75,000 points from the bonus. That is another night at a Pointbreak hotel! Summary
This card was best when it came with the 80,000 points and $50 statement credit. But, it has not been publicly available at that point for a long time. Sometimes it can be difficult to move on from offers and award charts when things change. It is important to recognize the value that we can receive now. For this card, it is only 5,000 points (when counting the simple authorized user bonus) and $50 less than the best offer on this card. So, I would say this card is worth getting!
An 80K bonus is available upon simple request by calling in, so this offer is weak.
That has been available for a long time but 2 people recently told me they were shot down.
Does the 5/24 count AUs?
It originally did but does not appear to as of the last couple of months.
