If you have followed this blog for any amount of time, you know I am a big fan of SPG Moments – the ability to use SPG points for some very cool experinces and packages. What you may not know is that other hotel programs have similar deals as well! While they may not be as plentiful or as great of deals, there are still some valuable ones around.

This is one of those from Hilton Honors. The bidding is at a reasonable 252,000 Hilton points right now (because you can easily accumulate a ton of Hilton points) and the auction ends in less than 24 hours.

Here is one of the things I love about SPG Moments auctions and it is available with this one as well – the title does not describe one of the most valuable parts of the auction. I love the auctions that have some highlight feature that they show but they bury some incredible stay at a hotel that would cost far more than the points the auction goes for.

“Trade” Hilton Points for 150,000 AA Miles!

This is such a case. It is an auction a cruise for someone I am not familiar with (Steve Aoki?) and there may be others like me that are not familiar with him. People may see the title – CRUISE OFF THE COAST OF IBIZA WITH STEVE AOKI – and move on if they are not fans/familiar with him. But, when you look in the auction, here is what is included (bolding mine):

  • Boating experience for two (2) with Steve Aoki
  • Two (2) tickets to see Steve Aoki’s show in Ibiza
  • 150,000 American AAdvantage Miles certificate

Yes, that last item is 150,000 AA miles! That is a huge amount of miles! Even if the bidding were to go for 500,000 Hilton points, it would still be a great deal! If you want AA miles and you have some friends to help you get your Hilton point total up, this could be the deal for you!  It ends at 12:00PM ET tomorrow (June 15, 2017).

  • Steve Aoki is a legend in the electronic dance music space. There’s nothing bigger than EDM on Ibiza in August. It’s bigger than the Ultra festival in Miami. Assuming enough exposure, I would expect this to go for a few million HHonor points. 500,000 points would be a steal.
