Here are the best Black Friday GPS watch deals going on now. From Garmin, to Apple and even FitBit and Google, you will find a deal!

I know that there are many people who come here because of GPS and smartwatch content so here is a roundup of some of the best GPS watch and smartwatch deals.

Best GPS Watch Deals for Black Friday

Black Friday may be waning but there are still some great GPS watch deals to be had. If you are overwhelmed by the options, let me give you some quick recommendations.

If you have an iPhone, an Apple Watch could be very attractive, especially this Apple Watch Ultra refurbished deal for under $400. If you want a watch that has two-way interaction (like being able to send messages from the watch, interact with apps, etc), the only watch for you is the Apple Watch (Ultra, regular, or SE). If you want cellular connectivity, the Apple Watch is the only way to go (but you have to choose a cellular equipped version or the Ultra).

But, I still feel that Apple is missing the boat by leaning so heavily on app developers to make up for what the watches are lacking compared to Garmin watches. If Apple brought the best of those apps in-house and made them part of the Apple Watch system natively, Apple would be much further ahead of where they are now. But, to get the same metrics and features that Garmin or COROS provide, you need at least 2 other apps/subscriptions on the Apple Watch.

So, if you are serious about your running, I would skip the Apple Watch. That is not to say serious runners don’t use it, but I don’t feel they are where they need to be yet, natively. Also, having the watch rely mostly on touchscreen is a big no-no in my part of the country where runners are wearing gloves for 3-4 months of running. Sure, there are gloves that can do the touchscreen but not as simply and directly as Garmin and COROS with their buttons.

The Garmin Fenix and Epix are the top of the line and great watches but if you are a runner that doesn’t’ care about things like sapphire glass and titanium bodies, go for the Garmin Forerunner 965 at $499. That has all the same features in a lighter package. If you are looking for your first GPS watch, the new Garmin Forerunner 165 has an AMOLED display and more features than the 55 so is worth the extra $50 for most.

For something a little more cosmetically appealing, the Garmin Vivoactive 5 is a great lifestyle GPS watch.

I love COROS but they never have sales. The best you can find is their open box (which are great deals by themselves).

If you have an Android phone, the same holds true for Garmin over Google and Samsung in terms of running.
