Amex cash back offers

Amex cash back offers (also as sync offers) are a great way to make money through purchase and liquidation of gift cards and manufacturing spend on credit cards. But, they are also a great way to save a little money on purchases that you may have been planning to make anyway. As we get closer to Christmas, you can count on the offers becoming more plentiful, but there are a few right now that have caught my attention (like the $50 back on $200 spend at Marriott yesterday).

Here is the latest round of Amex cash back offers that may present the most value to the traveler and the runner.

Amex Cash Back Offers

Best Buy $25 Back on $250 Spent

I like it when this promo comes around because it is a great way to purchase gift cards to other vendors, Amazon for example. When purchasing $250, you are essentially getting 10% off on anything at Amazon (if you buy Amazon gift cards, they are labeled as Kindle Gift cards at Best Buy).

Expires December 31, 2014 / Good online or in-store / Enrollments limited

Starbucks $5 Back on $10 Spent

This one should be quite popular with people! It is valid at online.starbucks.com but that should still be enough to present enough spending opportunity for those who like Starbucks. My wife is a Starbucks fan so we will be taking advantage of this one (only valid in the US).

Expires December 31, 2014 / Good online / Enrollments Limited

Amex cash back offers

Waldorf Astoria $100 Back on $500 Spent

This is a big spend amount to be sure, but we are talking about Waldorf Astoria and not Days Inn so any paid stay of a couple of nights will probably get you close to this amount. It is only valid at the Waldorf Astoria brand hotels. Only valid for stays and reservations between November 3 and March 31, 2015.

Expires March 31, 2015 / Good online or by phone / Enrollments Limited

Amex cash back offers

Reebok $25 Back on $100 Spent

This is an easy 25% rebate on athletic apparel. Make sure you sign-up for their newsletter at the site as you will get a 15% off code e-mailed to you. Also, buying gift cards should work if you would rather use this at an outlet.

Expires December 31, 2014 / Good online / Enrollments Limited

Sony $25 Back on $100 Spent

This is another 25% type offer. If you really want some good deals from them, make sure you check out Frequent Miler’s post where he outlined how you can get a PS4 for only $260 using this offer and portals.

Expires February 3, 2015 / Good online or in-store / Enrollments Limited

Amex cash back offers

Conrad Hotels $75 Back on $400 Spent

This is not as good of a deal as others, but if you are going to be staying at any Conrad hotels, this will come in handy. Conrad is the upper scale of the Hilton brands.

Expires March 31, 2015 / Good online or by phone / Enrollments Limited

McDonalds $5 Back on $5 Spent

I know – what in the world am I doing putting this one on a site that has a running focus (so, a health element)?! 🙂 Actually, it is the deal hunter in me. I keep seeing this one sitting there and I can’t let it go. I mean, free money – even if it is at McDonalds. 🙂

Expires December 31, 2014 / Good in-store or drive-thru only / Enrollments Limited

Getting the Offers

Log in to your American Express account and scroll down to the bottom. You will see Amex Offers For You. Select it and add the offers you want to your card. Make sure you make note of which card you save it to.

To maximize it, add the offer to separate cards, simply login to your American Express account and then choose to duplicate the tab (if using Google Chrome) as many times as you have cards. Once they are all open, select a different Amex card in each tab and select to save the offer to the card.

Don’t Forget Bonus Points/Cash Back!

Make sure you check at evreward to see which of these sites have portals giving bonuses! For example, if you shop for something at Best Buy online through the Ultimate Rewards portal, you will earn an additional 2 points per dollar.

  • Seems best buy doesn’t carry the amazon gift cards anymore. You can still get Starbucks and other merchants, but no amazon! (Which I am mad about).

    • Really?! That is a shame. Since I am not in the US, maybe someone else can chime in if it is maybe a regional thing. That is a disappointment.
Do check out the Best Buy open box website as you may find something you can flip on Craigslist to make a little bit to make up for the no Amazon
