Southwest sales have not been as great or as frequent as they were pre-covid but this one is actually pretty good. I have some city pairs that I use as my reference points for the greatness of a sale and they have dropped from the usual $79/$84 one-way to just $39 one-way as well. Even better, most of the sales only drop those to $59 so this means that this could be the time to check some of those city pairs that never go on sale for you!
Here are the details of this Southwest sale:
- Purchase from November 9 through November 12, 2021, 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
- Continental U.S., continental U.S. to/from Hawaii, and interisland Hawaii travel valid December 1 through December 15, 2021, and January 5 through March 9, 2022.
- Travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico valid December 1 through December 9, 2021, and January 10 through March 9, 2022.
- International travel valid December 1 through December 15, 2021, and January 5 through March 9, 2022.
- Continental U.S. to Hawaii travel blacked out February 17-20, 2022. Continental U.S. from Hawaii travel blacked out February 25-27, 2022.
Yes, the major holiday travel dates are blacked out but I did find some lower prices on some routes for those days so be sure to check. We booked some tickets that were quite a bit higher last week but booking them with this sale saved 35% from what they were before!

If the price has dropped, you simply select to change the flight and look at the same dates and flights again.
