I first posted about this a couple of weeks and today is the final day to rack up these bonus miles shopping through these portals. Remember, you can always return what you buy (and lose the miles) if the prices come down during the coming week. But, if you need some bonus miles, this would be the day to rack them up.
Earn up to 13,000 Bonus Miles Shopping
Shopping portals are an incredible way to earn miles and points – and even cash back – every day but there are some special bonuses available through these portals that can really be a help. These bonuses are for cumulative spending across many retailers, as long as you start through the shopping portal.
Alaska Airlines Shopping Portal Bonus
Here are the details for earning thousands of miles shopping through the Mileage Plan portal.
- Earn 500 bonus miles when you spend $150
- Earn 1,500 bonus miles when you spend $500
- Earn 3,000 bonus miles when you spend $1,000
- Valid through November 20

Those are tiered totals (so the max is 3,000 miles) for the spending that you hit. It means that you can earn an extra bonus (because you will still earn miles for each retailer) at a rate of 3 miles per dollar.

What To Shop For?
I recently got the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (and it is awesome – I love it!) and wish this qualified from the portal. But, if you are an Apple fan, you could go through the American Airlines shopping portal and get 3 miles per dollar! There are plenty of other things to look for.
Also, consider JC Penney. If you saved the Amex Offer, you could save even more (you can use any credit card through the portals). Of course, you could get anything, but those are a couple of ideas for you to start with!
