Hilton Referral Bonuses from Round 1 Posting!

The referral bonuses for things like the American Express SPG card may have spoiled me a bit. Even though terms always have the several weeks part, I had received SPG referral bonuses pretty quick earlier this year. Not so with the Hilton referral bonuses!

Hilton Referral Bonuses Now Posting

The last time the Hilton Amex Surpass was at 100,000 had started back in March. At that time, the Hilton Surpass was paying current cardmembers 15,000 Hilton points for every successful referral. I had a few people that were referred during that time and thought it would post like the SPG referral bonuses – like a few days later.

Nope! It seems that Hilton/Amex were keeping pretty close to their terms of when the referrals would be paid out as they are just now posting. Of course, there is another round of referral opportunities going on so make sure you get in on that if you haven’t already!

So, check your Hilton account as mine just became a bit larger with points this past weekend as the referral bonuses went out. It is a nice boost, for sure! Thank you, Amex/Hilton!

I Wish It Was Quicker!

I just wish that they would have been a bit more swift as you are limited to 80,000 Hilton points by referral per year (yes, I know that makes for 5ish apps instead of the usual round number). When I was not getting any points posting, I had no idea of how many I would actually get and began sharing my referral link again this past time. Now it appears I may have hit my limit in the first round and I wind up with nothing from the second round. Had I known that, I would have used my wife’s referral link or another family member’s link.

Check Your Account – And Switch Referral Links If Needed

The point – check your Hilton account! If you referred people in round 1, you should have some points posting now. If you have reached your limit, start using someone else’s referral link so that you are not having people sign-up with zero bonus going to you.
