A new Amex Offer has surfaced that will give you 3,000 Membership Reward points for spending $150 or more at a retailer with great sports gear!

I’m not sure if this one is targeted or not as I have this on my MR cards but just in case! If you are in the market for sports gear, this new Amex Offer will be a great help in getting you the gear while earning some valuable Membership Reward points – up to 21 points per dollar!

Earn 3,000 MR Points on Sports Gear for $150+ Spend

Sierra Trading Post

  • Get 3,000 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $150+
  • Valid in-store at Sierra Trading Post or online at
  • Expires 7/18/2017

In case you are not familiar with it, Sierra Trading Post is like a sports gear outlet of sorts that even carries some other kinds of items as well (I believe I have seen dress suits there!). They have some great prices on a lot of gear and I have personally bought several of my running shoes there over the years.

They often have coupon codes that will drop the price another 35% or so and you can find them on their site and by signing up for their newsletter. So, save the Amex Offer now, sign-up for the newsletter and wait for the codes! You could also use a shopping portal (TopCashBack is paying out 5%) but you will not be able to use a coupon code.

This is a solid offer and a great way to bulk up your Amex account while adding in some sports gear for the season!
