What You Need

You must have an American Express Membership Rewards card added to your account for this promo to work (so go ahead and do that first). It sometimes will not activate a promo if you just add a card so you may need to try again later to activate.

When you get to your cart, select your Amex card and choose to use .01 in value for points (that will translate to just a single MR point). The 20% discount will kick in after that – up to a $100 discount!

Who Does It Work For?

Also, this is supposed to be for Prime members but there have been some reports that it is working on non-prime accounts as well.

Gift Cards?

Yesterday, it was working on Amazon gift cards but I have tried it today and it does not. It will take the Amazon gift card amount into account for the discount (for example, if you put a $400 Amazon gift card in your cart and add something else that costs $100, you will receive the $100 discount) but it will not deduct the 20% purely from an Amazon gift card.

But, it works on pretty much everything else on Amazon so this is a great chance to get some fantastic deals in the run-up to Amazon Prime Day!
