This is a good deal for a stellar GPS watch – the Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire watch. It is big, it is well-built, and it still has some quality features inside and is on sale today only.

While Garmin is currently on the Fenix 6 (and likely launching their Fenix 7 sometime in the next 5 months), the Garmin Fenix 5 series is no slouch – especially when you get the X model with Sapphire glass! Find out why below and what the deal is!

Just to make it clear, this watch is currently two models old since it went like this – Fenix 5, Fenix 5 Plus series, Fenix 6. The good thing is that the “X” model in each of those series of watches normally has some extra special feature that the regular number and the “S” models do not have.

In this case, it is the onboard maps. Yes, you can get mapping in a bunch of other watches but not with the build quality and feature set at this price. Not only that, but you also get a watch with a Sapphire glass face to make it even more indestructible. I currently have the Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire and the glass does not even have a mark in spite of the fact that I have bumped it up against and scratched it on concrete, metal, and more. I never get a Fenix watch without Sapphire, if I can at all swing it.

So, this Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire watch will give you excellent battery life and built-in maps, all in a very rugged, big watch. If you like big GPS watches, this one is for you! The regular price is higher than this even though it is still 2 models old. At less than $300, it is a great multi-athletic tool!
