You can now pick up a Google Fi SIM card at your local Best Buy and be up and going with the best travel phone plan in just minutes!

I am a huge fan of Google Fi (as you can see from the number of posts I have made about them!) and believe they are the single greatest tech tool for the traveler. With data at a fixed rate and a no-contract plan, they are great for any trip!

You Can Pick Up Google Fi SIMs at Best Buy Now

Until yesterday, if you wanted to get a Google Fi sim and get going with their plan, you had to order from Google. While they can actually overnight it (for under $20) or send it in a couple of days for $13, you would generally wait up to a week.

$10 for SIM, $10 Credit from Google

That is not normally a problem but if you are getting ready for a trip and you decide last minute that Google Fi should be something you should take with you (especially since you can cancel or suspend it after your trip!), you can now buy that at Best Buy.

More good news – even though that Google Fi SIM will cost you $9.99 at Best Buy, you actually will get $10 in Google Fi credit when you activate it so it is a wash.

Not all Best Buy stores currently have them but they are spreading fast so check your closest Best Buy out if you need one!

Just note that these are the actual Google Fi SIMs you need for the plan – data-only SIM cards still need to be ordered online through your account.
