Club Carlson just recently removed the biggest credit card perk they had going – the last night free on award stays. It was, without a doubt, the best way to stretch your hotel reward points since you could stay for two nights on an award stay and only pay for one night, essentially creating your own buy-one-get-one-free scenario.

Club Carlson

Stay at Club Carlson hotels around Latin America for 25% off on award nights!

Since that is gone now, Club Carlson points have lost a lot of value to many point travelers. However, if you have travel planned to Latin America anytime through the end of 2015, you may find some value in this sale of 25% off award nights at Club Carlson hotels.

Club Carlson

This hotel is normally 38,000 points per night – the 25% off price is shown here.

The list includes 38 properties in Belize, Brazil, Caribbean, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay. Though the terms say that you need to use code LATAM25 to secure the 25% off on award stays, I was able to open a private browser session and get the 25% off rate without logging in or using the code. But, that is the code to use to make sure you are seeing all the available award nights.

You must book these rooms before July 31 and the rate is valid for stays from now through December 31, 2015. If you are staying properties for a single night, this works out even better than the old last night free benefit since you would have had to use the full amount for a single night. With this promo, you are getting 25% off any number of nights.

The promo page is found here along with all the terms and conditions.
