Etihad wants to get people back onboard for family vacations so they have launched a kids fly free promo to that end. Along with that promotion is the promise that everyone onboard has tested negative as well as a cabin crew that is a 100% vaccinated.

On the face of it, this sounds like a fabulous deal – and it can be. But, you need to remember that, in the words of Etihad, “Child must pay government-imposed taxes and fees of up to $449“. This will depend on where you are flying from and to as to how much you must pay. Still, it could be the difference between making a trip doable for your family.
To start with this promo, for every adult, you get two kids that fly free (as far as the actual ticket fare is concerned). As to the “adult,” Etihad says you will need to prove the relationship so this is definitely targeted at families.
An “adult” is someone 12 and older which means that a child is 11 and younger. You can book anytime until February 26 for travel all the way up to September 30, 2021. This means there is a big chunk of calendar that you have to play with. And by “play with,” I do mean that since you can make changes for free since Etihad has removed change fees on all tickets (though you would still need to pay any fare difference).
This works for anywhere Etihad flies and you must, of course, fly Etihad. But, this promo only works for certain Etihad destinations and they are:

- Bangkok
- Chittagong
- Dhaka
- Dubai
- Jakarta
- Kuala Lumpur
- Seoul
- Singapore
- Tokyo
