Here it is again! This seems to come up at least once every 7 weeks – but this time the price has dropped $4 to $135! It really makes you wonder how many they made, how many returns they had, or how many bad units they had! Actually, I cannot believe they have this many refurb units since this is one of the better GPS watches that Garmin has made. It’s just amazing how frequently they have big deals!
Anyway, here are the details:
The Garmin Forerunner 310XT is an excellent running watch. In fact, it is an excellent biking and swimming watch as well! It has incredible battery life (20+ hours) and is a favorite amongst triathletes, ultramarathoners, and runners of all sorts.
I featured this watch earlier this year when it was at $189. Now, it is available (refurb) for $139 at eBay from buydig. They are very reputable and this comes with the USB stick and HRM strap. This is a fantastic deal and if you are looking for a deal, you would be smart to jump on it!

Here is my post a couple of months ago about gps watches
Here is the information from Garmin:
Multisport GPS for Land and Water
- GPS-enabled training device for multisport athletes
- Tracks time, distance, pace and heart rate on land
- Times your swim and estimates distance and average speed
- Water resistant to 50 meters
- 20-hour battery life
- Wirelessly transfers data to Garmin Connect™ for analysis and sharing
Finally, a GPS-enabled training device that isn’t afraid of the water. The rugged Forerunner 310XT is the triathlete’s indispensable training tool — a GPS-enabled trainer that is water-resistant to 164 ft (50 m), tracks data in multiple sport modes and sends it wirelessly to your computer. This multisport device has up to 20 hours of battery life, tracks distance, pace and heart rate¹ on land, and goes from wrist to bike in seconds.
I didn’t know that they have many refurbished units. Anyway this watch is one of the best and eventhough the gps and teh HR monitor don’t work under water (don’t know of any watch that does) the 310xt does collect a lot of info when swimming but many suggest to place tha watch under your swimming cap instead of your wrist for better accuaracy. I wrote why i chose the 310xt at http://www.squidoo.com/garmin-310xt-review-and-why-i-chose-it
Thanks very much! When sport tech companies figure out how to manage the HR measurement for swimming, that watch will be something else – it will provide some interesting data!
