Like many people, I have been waiting for my chance to experience (in-flight) the fantastic new Qatar Airways QSuites business class cabin. I have been onboard the plane with it installed and it looks fantastic!

TL:DR – Best route is DOH-JFK (Flight 701) from April 16 – end of May. As many as 4 seats are available on many dates.

But, award availability has not been that great for it on the long-haul segments. Sure, it flies from Doha to European cities right now (London, Paris, and Frankfurt starting in May) but a lot of people would like to experience it on a longer flight.

Long-Haul Routes to the US

It currently flies between Doha and JFK and Washington Dulles and will soon be flying to Chicago as well. Those are the flights that would be of interest to a majority of us (though it does fly between Doha and Seoul as well).

I have been checking often for a flight I needed to book and have been checking regularly for various dates from Doha to JFK. Today, the availability popped open on more dates than I had seen before and with several seats available in the QSuites cabin! If you want to fly Qatar Airways QSuites, here is the best route to look for with availability right now!

Best Route for Award Availability

The best route I am seeing right now with plenty of seats available for Qatar QSuites is Doha to JFK. It is flight number 701 and departs Doha at 8:40AM and arrives at JFK at 15:25 the same day.

I am seeing multiple dates for with 4 seats available which means you may be able to get the famous quad seating if you are trying to book for 4 passengers (if you do that, let me know and take pictures for me!).

You could even book this great quad setup on some dates with 4 seats available!

This availability is showing from April 16 until the end of May.

To search for yourself, head over to British Airways website and search their award calendar. That is the best way to find the award availability for the dates you are looking for. (this post has old images in it but shows you still how to search for tickets)

Booking Qatar Qsuites with American Airline Miles

Once you find what you are looking for, you can call American Airlines (if you want to book with AA miles) and ticket it with them. It will cost 70,000 points for a one way ticket between Doha and the US. The taxes and fees out of Doha on Qatar using AA miles are minimal (under $40).

You could also book using British Airways Avios but it will cost you 105,000 Avios for that one way journey and about $186 in taxes and fees.
