Amazon’s Prime Day sale is starting next week – but that hasn’t stopped the online giant from releasing some great sales a little early. And one of those is the best price ever on the Apple AirPods Pro.

The 2nd generation of the Apple AirPods Pro pack even better noise cancellation for a better experience in travel situations. They also come with more tips for a better fit (my biggest complaint against the original Apple AirPods Pro) as well as a MagSafe case which is something the very first ones did not have (later ones shipped did).
At $169, they bring the price down from their regular $249 price and beat many of the other noise cancelling earbuds that are in their class. Plus, they have the special Apple magic sauce of the H2 chip that allows it to quickly connect to all Apple devices registered to your Apple ID. This means once you pair it to one device, it is automatically available to all Apple devices that you own. This allows for seamless transition to those other devices.
Speaking of the magic sauce, the Apple spatial audio feature is pretty great also, to help to bbe more immersed into whatever audio you have that features spatial audio support. And Apple had finally included USB C charging on this model which was another big complaint I had on the original ones (all of my electronics I travel with are USB C so that means one cable instead of several!).
This is an awesome deal on these. While they do not have many of the control features and app features that the Sony and Bose earbuds have (to allow you to tune various parts of the noise cancelling to different movements or environments and to let you tune the EQ), Apple device users will likely prefer these. Especially with the head gesture commands coming in iOS 18 to simply accept or decline incoming calls, etc.
If you prefer headphones, the Apple AirPods Max headphones are also on sale at their lowest price ever. But, these still use the lightning charging port and are one of the oldest Apple devices that are still on a current generation. But, if you don’t care about those things, check them out.
